Master Controller for dual air conditioners

I have a 2000 Fleetwood Pace Arrow Vision. Under the fridge, where all the electrical stuff is, I find a metal box that's called "electronic climate control eneregy management unit master controller". For some time now it has intermittently produced a sound I can only describe as static. Doesn't matter whether I'm on shore power or not. Doesn't seem to affect anything air conditioners are doing their thing properly. Is this sound an indication of pending doom, or something that naturally occurs?

Have you checked the voltage going to the unit? Should be about 12.6 DC or higher.

If this area also has your load 110 & 12V wiring fusing the converter behind it may have a cover thats loose causing the noise you hear.
You can pull unit out and check housing and also check the wiring screw connections so they are not loose.

Welcome to irv2 the both of you.

The shed controller in our PA started chattering and then went to both A/C units never being on long enough to work. Had to replace the controller in the electrical area in the bedroom. Luckily the RV repair fellow I use, suggested that I look on eBay. I got one for about $140 . Problem was a weak relay that just chattered as you describe. Hope this helps.
