Medallion Information Center Freightliner

My 2005 Airstream DP on a Freightliner chassis has the Medallion Information Center. It consist of the main module, annunciator display which has various waning lights such as check engine, check trans, low air and others and the Message Center shown as the 3rd item on the following link.
RV Tech Library - Freightliner MMDC Information Display. I am looking at adding the Sliverleaf VMSpc system which provides a far more detailed gauge package, fault codes, mileage and trip data than is available from the "Message Center. Over time the small Liq Crystal display has dimed to the point it is barely readable. I would like to remove only the small Message Center only from the dash to free up some space for a double din radio. But since all 3 of these components are connected I don't want to screw up the main warning light function in the annunciator display. Has any one done this. Thanks

Sorry I can't help you with your question, but if you decide you need a replacement
Medallion Information Center unit, I have one that we took out of our 2005 Itasca Horizon when we upgraded our Medallion unit. It was working just fine when we removed it and has been stored in a box since. I hung on to it because I didn't want to throw it away and would sell it for $50.00

If you can disconnect the wiring from the display, just remove it from the dash, put it under the dash with some wire ties, and reconnect the wiring. Then everything will still work and your dash has space for that new radio.
