Meridian awning malfunction

The electricawningswon't operate. What has to be set/on to operate. 05 meridian Itasca.

Welcome to IRV2. There is a switch panel just inside the door that provides a power switch for the awnings as well as the controls for the door and patio awnings. You should be able to get them going there. You can also download the Operators Manual for your coach model from the "Resources" section of the Winnebago website. It should have more info on the awnings as well as everything else in the coach. I hate to suggest you "read the manual" but if the coach is new to you and the manual is on the coach, you might find the downloaded copy hand at home. Good luck,

Our 34H 2005 Meridian had a manual/auto control switch inside the first passenger side compartment. The auto position operated thru a wind sensor mounted on the roof. If the wind sensor fails then the only option is to operate in manual, which then would not retract when a high wind event occurs.
