From a sellers point of view, I'm not going to be likely to just give them the keys, and say have at it. Make arrangements with a local shop, dealer, what ever, and I will deliver it there. Give me a warm fuzzy that I can trust you, and show me some credentials, then I might let the prospective buyer drive it.

MH Inspection

In our case, the dealer allowed my inspector & me to take the MH on a test drive. The inspector drove it, not me.

RV windshield replacement

Response to rmacdon61, Thanks! We have had a recommendation to go to Road Runner Mobile Auto Glass from two different people. He is coming to see the MH tomorrow morning to give us a quote. Hoping it works out.

For the investment you are making, get an affordable professional third party inspection.

Check up www.NRVIA.com . They have certified inspectors all over US and Canada.

I used an NRVIA certified inspector about two months ago when I was purchasing my Thor Hurricane from a private seller. I'm in Jacksonville, Florida and the coach was north of Tuksa, Oklahoma. Inspection was expensive ($725) because the closest inspector was an hour and a half south. He was there for a full day. I got over 100 pictures and learned EVERYTHING that was right and not right about the coach. I knew there was a small gap in the rubber trim of the passenger window. I knew the radio antenna was broken but the radio worked perfectly. I knew that there were no water leaks in the roof and that the burners on the stove all worked.

By the time I flew into Tulsa to meet the owner and pick it up, there was nothing to discuss, nothing for me to check out and the negotiated price was based on facts. Side benefit: my bank accepted the inspection as the appraisal.

I had considered and even checked into using an RV shop. Places like Camping World claim to do inspections. But their main business is selling repairs not evaluating RV'S.

I would recommend the NRVIA and I would ESPECIALLY recommend Tom Bachi, one of their certified inspectors if you're needing a motorhome inspected near Tulsa, ok.
