MH sliding pass. window glass broke...

Hello,

I have a 1985 Winnebago Chieftain. The passenger window consists of the permanent part and then the sliding glass. The sliding glass busted out. Is it hard to find a replacement sliding glass? I contacted the place everyone says to go to...Mobility RV in Iowa. "the first result when you type in Winnebago Parts in Google. They said they no longer have that.

Am I going to have a hard time getting this window?

If I take it to a Winny dealer...should they be able to find one?

I am starting to get nervous!

I attached a picture of the intact drivers side window. It is the sliding part.

I would think that any decent auto glass repair shop could easily find, cut and replace a simple flat sheet of glass like that - nothing really special about it as to thickness or curvature...

If an auto glass shop can not solve your problem then go to a commerical glass shop. A shop replaced the tempered glass (shaded) in my 5er at a fifth of the cost of a new window.

Atwood's glass shop in Elkart,IN, can supply any size and shape RV glass you need. So can a large, fullservice RV dealer like Lazydays in Tampa, FL. They have a fully equipped glass shop staffed by professionals.
