MH, Tow Dolly and 3 bikes
How do you all carry your Bikes when towing a car? I just purchased a hitch extender with an extra receiver on the top side of the extender. I am going to use the extender to hitch up the car dolly and the top receiver to add a bike rack. Anyone else do this? Thanks!

Using a hitch extender usually reduces the hitch rating by about half. You could be in for some trouble if that's true.

I have a 2014 Jeep Wrangler that I WILL be flat towing. It already had a receiver on it for towing and I have a 4 bike rack that I plan on attaching to the Jeep. I know that others use the setup you are referring to. My motor coach and Jeep already had single receivers so I don't need that setup although, it would save me length. I measured the rig and toad at 53'. With the bike rack added in the 2 bike setup, I will be 56'-57'! I am sure that others will chime in that use your same setup. Happy travels!

Our bikes fold up and store in a basement compartment. We tried standard bikes, but we didn't like to wash them off before we could ride; plus, they quickly rust and look dull from exposure to the elements.

Hitch extender is rated at 7,500 lbs. I have never heard that a hitch extender will lower the rating in half, doesn't seem to make much sense.

Hi, HF has the hitch Class 3 receiver and the bike rack is only a 2 bike not sure if they sell 3 bikers.
I think the receiver was 23.00 bucks and bike rack was 49.00 And we can hook up the KarKaddySS , I can click on the picture and it will show what I am referring too, The bike rack folds down for unloading bikes.
