We currently have a 40 ft Newmar 2009 ventanna (we bought used 2015). The Michelin 22.5 tires are reaching their 7 yr manufacture date on the tires.

Issue: We have not been able to find new Michelin tires 22.5 in AL., Ms. La., we called Michelin and they referred us to their top 3 distributors in each state. We ordered 6 new tires from Snyder fleet 2 months ago and they cannot tell us when we can expect them.
Question: is this normal time frame and issue with ordering Michelin tires.

2nd Question: Would you wait for Michelin Tires or consider to a different mfg. From what I can research the Michelin offers a smoother ride.

Thanks for any advice you could offer or experiences with tire replacement.

I wouldn't wait for Michelins.

I personally wouldn't pay what Michelin wants for a tire either.

There are so many other good brands that people really like too.

If you can't get one now, what about if you need a replacement in a hurry while travelling. That right there would be a huge red flag for me.

Some thoughts:
- Michelin supports a 10-year tire life if regular inspections are done. A local dealer can help with more detailed questions.
- Snyder Tire has a large reach - you might want to see what they have in the Carolinas, and see if they'd partner on shipping.
- Michelin makes the 22.5s in batches during the year so short-term shortages can occur. Even then, make sure you don't get a set of tires made over a year ago.

Just had to replace my 5 year old Michelins. They had small sidewall cracks and would not pass safety inspection. I put Continental HSR2's on mine. Have not driven them much yet, but they ride a little better than the Michelins and are quieter. Cost about $1,000 less than the Michelins, too. I won't be buying any more Michelins. I also considered Toyo and Yokahama tires.

What tire size?
I think there was a short supply of the 275/70R22.5, but I understand that they are now getting shipped to dealers.

Check Costco. They can get the 235/80 r 22.5 I need.

I would also be open to ordering them from Amazon and have your local shop install them. Looks like MIchelins are available for sale on Amazon.

I was a diehard Michelin owner that had no problem paying more for them. I was convinced they were worth it. Then, talking with two friends who both had Toyo tires, with great success, I looked into them. Through a local dealer, I could get eight 295/80/22.5 LRH Toyo M144 tires for $2530 less than what Michelins cost through the FMCA discount program. So, 17 months ago, I purchased Toyos. My wife says the ride is smoother and I have found that our mpg is slightly better. 7.4 vs 7 mpg over several tanks. Now, 14,000 miles later, we are so happy we did not buy the Michelins. There are several brands that offer a better Value than the big "M". Toyo is just the one we chose. It's your money, so buy whatever you feel is best for you.

I went with a set of Yokohamas. Can’t tell the difference between them an Mitchelin except for the extra dollars in my wallet.

I totally agree. I replaced my Goodyears with Sailun truck tires in 2018 @ $1,280 for 6, 275/70R22.5 LR H.

Continential 22.5 inch HSR2 tires thru FMCA is $480/tire....then need to find local tire shop to balance and install.

X2, was a loyal Michelin only for decades but have not bought any in a decade. I would go with Hankook, Toyo, or Yokohama.

Not sure what size you are quoting, but my 295/80/22.5 LRH Toyo Mi44's were $385 each from a local dealer in my town. Most local tire shops will beat FMCA's price. Just saying.
