Microwave/convection oven. How to use

Hi all, is there a source to read how to cook/bake with convection oven.
We don't have a conventional oven in our coach and I like to do some cooking sing what we have.

Regards

I'd suggest using Google to search for recipes and tips on cooking in a convection/microwave oven.

At some of the Good Sam or FMCA rallies they have convection cooking classes. That's how the DW first got introduced to the Advantiums and we've had them ever since.

If you look on line, you should be able to down load the operation manual and instructions for your oven. They really are not much different than a conventional oven. They do cook faster because of the air convection but other than a few more buttons and settings not really different than what you are probably used to.

There are at least 3 types of ovens. Microwave, conventional, convection. Then we get into combinations. Conventional/convection and Microwave/convection.

The OP was asking about a microwave/convection oven, different than a straight convection oven.

And an Advantium is a subset of the microwave/convection.

We're new to RVing and were wondering about this very topic. A quick YouTube search (www.YouTube.com) turned up dozens of short video clips on the topic - many of which were produced by RV dealerships and Microwave manufacturers themselves. I feel like I got a pretty good tutorial after watching a handful of the clips on the subject...

The "search YouTube" suggestion works for pretty much every aspect of your RV. There are tons of videos on virtually all topics - how various systems work (electrical, water, propane, etc.), how to drive a large coach ... you name it, there's almost certainly a video out there that covers it!

Besides being insanely overpriced, I didn't read where it's a subset, just another variation of micro/convection. Since it's a GE product, I don't have to worry about it. I have a long history of issues with GE products, from clock radios, TVs, toaster ovens, etc. Maybe when Edison ran the company they were O.K., but 40 years of problems causes me to go right on past anything with the GE brand.

I'm sure I'm opening up a poo storm with this opinion, but I've learned from experience.

I'm pretty sure the OP was asking about the convection cooking. They didn't mention microwave.

Gee, when I look at post #1 I see, "Microwave/convection oven. How to use" in the title box above the post.

We have found it pretty easy to use in the convection mode, just make certain you preheat and get things off of the floor of the oven. Also can recommend two cookbooks (we got them from Amazon) Here and Here
