Question Mid Entry Coaches

Are Newell and Alpine coaches the only Class A mid-entry coaches made in the last decade?

Are you talking about diesel only? There are plenty of mid entry Class A gas coaches.

Fleetwood Excursion is a mid-entry door diesel motorhome.

The original Newmar London Aire had a mid entry, and IMHO was the nicest coach that Newmar has ever built!!

Winnebago / Itasca has made mid entry dp in the past. Our 2008 Itasca latitude is a mid entry. I like it, being handicapped it is easier for me to get in and out of.

We have a 2009 winnebago Destination with mid entry and love it. I realize we give up a little interior wall space but it's so convenient to get in and out of it far outweighs the loss of space. Not sure why they are not more popular in the DP.

Anyone know why most DP coaches have front entry?

Yes, we met those folks at Hearthside, their coach still looks brand new!! Unbelievable paint job!! They were a little disappointed that the London Aire name had been resurrected as something other than the flagship coach for Newmar ( several of the factory people feel the same way)

I agree with Ruddog, more midship entry choices would be nice, It relays make the co-pilot area larger and more comfortable.

Thanks all for the great responses. Yes, I meant Diesel pushers.
My wife really likes the mid-entry with a bath and a half Newell floor plans, so we might have to go that route if I can find a nice one that's not too old and i can fit it in my $300K budget.

If not, then we'll stick with the original plan of a new DSDP 4381.
