Mildew in Fridge

Hi all, we have a new MH (Itasca Meridian 2013). It has residential Refrigerator. We have used it couple of weekends and the rest of the time it is at storage. Today I opened the MH and noticed mildew at the bottom of Freezer. I might not have dried all the water if there was any. Anything I should have done to prevent this? Should I leave the door open when not in use? For now I cleaned and left the fridge and freezer open.
Also I noticed the coach battery was totally depleted and i turned on the generator to charge it.
Should i turn the Chassis battery off every time we leave the MH at storage for few days?

Leaving the doors open is a must. Your batteries should not be totally drained in a few days , however hitting the disconnect is a good idea. I would try to find out what's draining them other then the normal low draw items.

Like Clifftall said you need to leave the doors open or you will get mildew. Only other option is to leave it on with ac power if you can plug it in. Some people leave theirs on and some like me turn off and leave doors open, I don't have ac power while in storage. I always turn off main switch and aux switch when coach is in storage to prevent any battery drainage. Doing this I have never had a problem with the batteries draining down.
