Mileage estimate for 30' Class A with Ford V10
Would someone please tell me what to expect for mileage for a 2006 30' Class A (Rexhall) with a Ford V10.
Many thanks.

Well I have a '08 V10 on a Ford f53 chassis at 36' long, approximate weight of 21K pulling a Chevy Colorado and getting anywhere from 7.5 to 8.5 MPG traveling on semi flat roads. You should get better then me since your carrying less weight. I tend to travel on interstate highways and travel around 60 to 65 MPH, mostly 60 though.

We have a 2017, so it'll be a bit different. But we've averaged just a tad over 8 for 16,000 miles so far. We run around 68 on the interstate.

Don't be so hasty to thank anyone quite yet. Gas mileage will bring out the second place finishers in the biggest liars contest. The first place group being those who are asked, " Have you ever cheated on your wife"?
You could take a group of ten drivers, let them drive the same vehicle, and it wouldn't matter what it is for a vehicle, and everyone's mileage numbers would differ. No two drivers drive the same way. Some are conservative while others are throttle jockeys but every one of the drivers would claim they got the best numbers of anyone else.
There are too many variables to consider. Hilly terrain, flat open roads, stop and go, head winds etc. etc.
I started checking my MH's mileage when I first got it. After the second tank of gas I quit checking. I do think I have some friends in the Middle East though.
Good luck reaching a realistic number here. Should be an interesting thread to watch though. Let the fun begin.

Cummins has done extensive testing with fleets and found there was a 30% difference between the best and worst drivers when it came to fuel mileage.

Pick a number between 6 and 8. 150 fill ups and my low was 4.8 MPG and the high was 9.2 with an average of 7.18. The more I drive it the heavier my right foot is getting.

Just finished a 5k miles trip in our 32 ft 2016 Ford gasser towing a Chevy Sonic which weighs in about 2,700 lbs. Most of the trip was run in the 62-66 mph range and the overall mpg was around 7. Not particularly happy with the number but kind of what I expected.

Same here. A year ago I was averaging 8.5. Now it's 8 or so on each tank. I think I'm just driving faster. I used to pamper it; now I tend to be a bit more aggressive.
My wife uses it from time to time to take her mother on a nice trip, and I've noticed she doesn't do as well as I do, though I know -- or I think I know -- that she drives slower. I think she uses the cruise more, while I try to drive it in a manner that keeps the rpm down.
15049 miles to date. 1851.8 gallons total. 8.13 mpg.
Ranges are from low 9s with strong tailwinds and high 6s with high headwinds.
Oddly, the best I've ever done was towing our RAV4, and the worst was not pulling it. Go figure.

It's a motorhome. That fact alone tells most people...gas mileage is not great....no matter what.
