We have a 1983 40'DP. For the entire 6 month trip last year that included crossing the US each way and traveling the Maritime provinces of Canada we averaged 7.7 mpg. We pull a fairly heavy toad (a Ford p/u with extended cab/8'bed/camper shell).

The best mileage was in the Midwest where we averaged 8.9 on one tank fill. The worst mileage was in Canada. We had one tank refill with an average of 5.2 mpg.

This does not include generator use. We have 2 separate tanks (they can be combined...but I rarely do).

We get 8 to 9 mpg no tow doing 60 mph or so. 57 mph is the sweet spot. Millage drops real quick you get into the 70+ mph range. Scotty.
