A couple suggestions

Wilcut: Since I live in Central FLA I often run into problems trying to get out in the motorhome for short 2 - 5 day stays particularly in the spring when all of our northern relatives make their way down here to avoid the snow. A couple of my fall backs that can usually squeeze us in might be worth a try.
Wekiva Fall RV Resort - Sorrento FL, Clerbrook RV & Golf Resort, Clermont FL, and if you are headed to the Keys try Jolly Roger RV Resort, Grassy Key. And if you are feeling lucky try Jetty Park Cocoa Beach. They all have nice facilities, fairly reasonable prices. Be diligent in your searches and you will find something. Good Luck!

Thanks for the info, The park is Williston Crossing Resort, Williston, FL. Great park but we are not ones to go stay anywhere for 4 months.

OP: Their web site gives rates from 1 day; 1 week; 1 month and up. There are no restrictions given on the site so how could they refuse your stay? Strange. If they don't want winter short-term, this should be stated.

We don't trust websites very much since most parks don't update often. We call for information. Most of the time we get current Info!

They will rent to you on a daily basis in July when it's 99 degrees and 99% humidity.

I wish more people felt that way-- it's getting much too crowded here.

Florida has a transit rental tax. Less than a 6 month lease, you pay the tax, plus county additions. Do a 6 month lease and sub lease, you are responsible of the tax and filling a rental agent lease agreement, plus whatever the local country charges. Honest, they have the snowbirds dialed in.
