Mirror Motor

Anyone ever change a motor in the outside mirrors? Have one that has went bad and don't know how to get it apart to replace. Anyone done this?

If it is a Velvac this link may be of some help:

Find out the manufacturer and do a web search. You may be able to find the parts breakdown to figure out how it comes apart.

If it is a Velvac you can order parts directly from them. I had to order a base support for my passenger side mirror after a toll booth jumped out and hit it. Velvac was great to work with and they shipped the parts pdq.

Good Luck

You will probably have to remove the mirror glass. There are clips around the edge, usually. And, it may be glued to it's backing frame. I warmed mine with a hair dryer to soften the adhesive. Good luck. Velvac is a little hard to deal with, slow, but ....
