Missing Kwikee step motor

My step motor went bad and had a mechanic remove it and agree to get new gears, etc. Went back to get it and mechanic had taken all parts, including my motor and disappeared. Landlord said he had skipped out.
Anyway, I have a 2002 HR Navigator and need to get a new motor. Have been told their are auto parts window motors that will work. Some said a Dorman window motor and others say ACU window lift motor. Can anyone tell me if either will work or what other alternative.
Appreciate replies

Yes - the window motor fix should be a bolt-on affair. I went through this a while ago with my previous MH. Search the forums it is well documented.

As I told you previously a "new" ACI, (p/n 83094), Ford window lift motor, (from Advance Auto Parts), fits, (and operates), my '96 2 step Kwikee electric step perfectly.
A "rebuilt" Cardon. (p/n 42-309), would have also worked.
Both are 1990 Ford Taurus, (and other year/model Ford), "left front window lift" motors.

However, the only way to find out if either of those motors will work in your Kwikee is by buying one and trying it......(IMO asking the same question multiple times here on iRV2 will not solve your problem).

Thanks for the advice. The reason I asked question again on Class A forum is because I only had one response on Monaco forum. But thanks for the help.

If he took the gears as well then a motor alone will not help much. I also used a Ford Taurus motor from NAPA to replace my step motor. There was an adapter gear that fit over the gear that came with the motor. It might take a bit of research and looking at parts diagrams to figure out what you are actually missing.

If he took the motor and gear. might have to go to Amazon and get motor and gearbox, to putit back together.

Sorry to hear that someone took your parts. If this individual also took the gear box you can order a new one from Kwikee or if there is a good RV service center near by, they may have an old step in there pile of junk that you can use for parts. Then you can just replace the motor.

I could only get window motor to work by using the original gears, the gears attached to the window motor gears wouldn't mesh correctly with the kwikee gears. Have a feeling it was country of origin having a different measure.
