If you don't have one yet, check out these. We carry two of them in the back of our 2012 Ford Edge. They come apart without tools and become very compact. They are often on Craigs list for less than half this price. They are not large wheel off road units but have worked for us for three years. The larger batteries really make a day at Walt Disney World a breeze.

We also have a mobility scooter that we have owned for 8 years. I just put new batteries in it. I t also breakers down in a matter of seconds and you can easily put it in the trunk of most cars. We now carry it in one of the storage bays in the motor home. We do not have the arms on it. This is the one we have.https://www.familymedicalmobility.co...l-scooter.html

Ditto on the scooters that come apart. Mine comes into 2 pieces, the batteries can also be taken off and stored easily (charged on or off scooter) the steering post folds down...net is they can be easily taken apart and carried in almost anything from a small car to a storage bay.
