Maybe I missed the Monaco section, I didn't see it.

But, I am looking pretty hard at Monaco for a possible (hopefully within 1 year) purchase. Looks like well built units. I especially like the custom Roadmaster chassis, rather than a generic "built for anything" type commercial chassis such as Spartan, for exaample. I also have ruled out the Cat and Detroit engines, while Monaco utilizes the Cummins

Being newbies to the site, I am wondering about Monaco units from owners out there. I listen a lot to word of mouth. My salesman has been extremely cooperative and patient with me and I feel, very honest to this point.

He even informed me today that Monaco had hired a former HIGH UP from Fleetwood that had made some utter ridiculous changes in Monaco sales and marketing strategies so far. So much so, in fact, that a couple of long time high up Monaco executives had left the company as a result. He said the "field sales" are just waiting to see how things go...

But, that aside, I was looking for comments on Monaco units. I have looked especially at the Dynasty model but am anxious to hear about any diesel pusher that Monaco makes.

Thanks in advance folks!

Doesn't look like you got "many" answers, so I'll throw in my 2cents. I have a 1996 Monaco Windsor 36' w/250hp Cummins and no slides. I have a little over 87000 miles and have had very little trouble with it. I don't know if the newer ones are put togeather as well as the older ones (maybe a little biased), but I would sure like to be able to be driving the newer one. We have sure enjoyed it, thus far. If there are any "particulars" you need to know about, give me a shout.

There isn't a Monaco section, but thre is a Motorhome-General section that would have been a better venue for this sort of question.

Monaco products have a good reputation, but that does not mean every one is perfect. And Monaco makes a wide range of products under the Monaco label as well as under several other subsidiary brand names, e.g. Holiday Rambler, Beaver and Safari. In addition to the quality of parts and design, higher end models may get better prep and warranty service than low-end models.
