I have a non-working dash mount back-up monitor.

Tested my system by connecting the output to my coach TV
and everything seems to work. (great troubleshooting tips from
YC1 !)

Need a new display monitor and don't want to cut into my dashboard.

Does it make sense to just buy a slightly larger one (mine Weldex is
approx. 7" wide X 5" tall) and SURFACE mount it over the hole?

Maybe use Velcro or hot glue? Anyone have experience or photos of this?
