Monoco La Palma won't start

I had a first time strange thing happen on trying to level my la palma on pulling into the rv park site recently. I had pulled the slide in with no problem and was moving the RV back and forth to level on blocks when suddenly it wouldn't start and hasn't started since. The sound it makes when I turn the key doesn't sound like an engine problem but something else...like a hydraulic switch sound. Just to be sure it wasn't the engine I checked engine battery, starter, etc and all test positive.... but I don't think it's the engine...more to do with something in the coach. I have had this RV for several months, started it at least once a month with no problem. But, it's a fairly new RV for me and I have no idea what is going on. Slide out goes in an out with no problem but feels like it's somehow related to engine not starting. Any idea on what might be happening?

thanks for the help

Make certain the transmission is in neutral and the brake is set. Does the dash show any prestart diagnostics?

You need to tell us what year engine/chassis you have. La Palma's have been gas and diesel.

Tell us exactly what is happening relating to actions related to starting.

Status of slides should not matter.

If you shut the engine off while in gear where yiu may have a push button selector then it may not be in neutral.

Step away for a but and come in fresh.

Make sure all is in correct place for starting and observe and report what it does or does not do as well as status of everything.

Engine type will help.

Sounds like a safety interlock is malfunctioning. When the slide is all the way in, a connection says "okay, you can start now". Good luck finding it.

What's today? Sixth of January? Wasn't the fifth of January the day Monaco La Palmas aren't supposed to start?
Really tho, it would help to know engine type and fuel. I have had a problem with my transmission selector switch not being in neutral and the engine wouldn't start. Scares the heck out of me and I start seeing dollar signs.
Try "jiggling" your tranny selector lever if you can.
Have someone stand by the starter side of your engine and listen for any "starter type" noise. If none, then your problem is most likely an electrical issue with a solenoid or relay.
Batteries fully charged? Checked? Post connections corroded or loose?
