Montana LLC

Has anyone ever heard of or used a company called "All Day $49 Montana Registered Agent LLC" to create a Montana LLC for you? If so, how has it worked out for you? If you've used a different company and would recommend them, please let me know. Thanks!

Hope you have a real LLC. In another RV forum this topic came up and it's rumored that your CHP is targeting Montana plates looking for LLC scammers (as are other states looking to recover license plate fees).

I'm not sure what you mean. It is easy to have a "real" LLC, if you register the LLC and pay the associated fees, file the yearly paperwork etc.

True, however, many states have laws that say if the RV is in their state more than a certain number of days per year than it must be registered in that state

Why are you interested in doing this - to save money on sales tax and registration? Or some other reason.

Don't answer that.

Wouldn't registering your coach as owned by LLC make the coach a commercial vehicle and subject to commercial licensing and insurance?

Send a message via ICQ to Ivylog
He just bought it and probably hasn’t registered it yet. CA is probably the last state I’d try and get away with a MT LLC. MT’s new annual luxury tax of $850 takes a good chunk out of the savings...if you get away with it.

A Montana LLC can be a little tricky at times. If you are stopped in your home state of CA while towing a car with a CA license with a MH licensed in MT and your drivers license was issued in CA, how do you explain that to the LEO?

CA is VERY AGGRESSIVE about MT LLC if not done properly/legally as defined by CA.
Back registration fees, penalites and prosecution

Take the time to get real information from MT Law Firm that does LLCs
They will tell you all the necessary documentation required and how NOT to get CA coming after you

Registration Services - Bennett Law Office P.C.

Informed decision using real correct information will keep $$$ in your pocket

I have used them for more than a year now and for more than just the RV. Very satisfied with their service.

I'm neither associated with California nor have any desire to live there - but I would suggest this much: Don't have a car with California plates and an RV with Montana. Just register all the vehicles under the LLC. Then they are legally owned by a corporation, and you are not the owner. The corporation is.

When we retired we bought an rv and put it into a LLC from day one. No longer owed a home or property in any state. In the first year on the road full timing we established residency in TX. Drove for years with Texas plates on car and a Montana on the RV with no problems. I do not spend any time in CA. Have not been there in 30 plus years and have no plans to ever spend a dime going there so had no concerns about how they felt. Costs for LLC has changed and may not work for you as you plan. Do a lot of research to see what the true annual costs are. Take care.

Enjoy the journey
