Mooing?

We recently bought a Mountain Aire that has a sound that comes from the the drivers area. It is the sound of a cow mooing! It happens usually when traveling between 35 to 50 mph. I have looked and cannot find anything that is the cause of this noise.

Perhaps a noisy fan drive?

littman..... Does this sound occur on every drive, or perhaps on this segment but not the next segment a few hours later? On some days but not others?

Could be random wind noise. We had a strange noise that we managed (after quite some time of pondering) to nail down as wind, but only under certain specific crosswind and speed circumstances. Strange.

The horns mounted on the roof of my front cap do that around 35 to 45 mph depending on the cross wind angle.

I find your cow description quite accurate.

Did you forget to untie Bossy from the bumper?

Seriously, it probably is an air leak around the window or driver's door area, or maybe a harmonic from the outside mirror.

I was thinking mirror also or the slide topper fabric if you have one. there is just enough exposed to vibrate.

The window weep holes are known to make rather loud noises at certain speeds. Try putting some electrical tape over the weep holes next time out and see if the mooing goes away. Can't hurt unless it is raining hard.

Possibly a diaphragm vacuum leak .

Diaphragms control the heating/cooling controls.

We had an unusual wind noise that turned out to be the volume in the camera monitor was turned up and there must be a microphone on the rear camera.
I also have a slight mooing noise that I'm suspecting is coming from the front grill. I'm in a gas coach, so the radiator is up front, hence a large grill.

I was hearing some noise that turned out to be a bad rubber seal around the generator slideout!
