Mop and Glo

Anyone use mop and glo on their fiberglass roof and sides? Or a similar product.

People who have fiberglass TT like Scamp and Casita have used such products. The latest product is Zep floor polish.
Go to the Casita Club Forums or Fiberglass RV forums for more info.

I'm one who uses 303 protectant on multiple items on the RV ...fiberglass, gelcoat, tires, decals, plastic/vinyl trim pieces, moldings , etc., etc. as I want to protect surfaces from UV damage. I do all these things with 303, including the fiberglass roof, four times a year ...or attempt to. The couple that bought our almost 10-year old Journey were flabbergasted as they couldn't believe it was that old. They kept exclaiming that it looked just like new ...especially the fiberglass roof.

How To Protect The Exterior of Your RV

If you clean the roof regularly and apply 303, it doesn't take long at all. I purchase 303 by the gallon to put in my spray bottles. Walmart @ $37.62 is the last place I purchased a supply as they seemed to be the least expensive (CLICK).

I tried and really love the shine of a product called CostaCoat, that's available on ebay.... it was some work... but all our friends have said how good the coach looks..

Just washed the rv fiberglass roof and put on a couple coats of mopnglo. Went on easy and looks good. While I had the bottle out, I wiped a few coats on aged vinyl decals...those look a bit better though those decals are in bad shape ( removal and painting are on my to do list. ).

I will try 303 in the near future. Maybe if previous owners had used such a uv protectant, the rig exterior might have aged more gracefully.

I found mop and glo left large streaks down the sides of my itasca after treating the roof.

Mop and Glo stopped my white streaks. I had no problem with Mop and Glo streaking on the side of my MH. I didn't apply it so generously that it ran down the sides.

Ivan been using Turtle Wax Ice. I transfer it to a cheap Walmart spray bottle that allows you to control the spray stream so I can get higher up on the sides. Fast and easy and leaves a nice shine that repels water.

On second thought I think I will try the mop and glow on the fiberglass roof and see what I think.
The 303 looks like a protectant but it seems I may get a thicker seal with mop and glo.

I used Poly Glow on my Motor Home and am thrilled with the results. Poly glow is specifically made for campers and boats and also contains UV inhibitors. Indoor floor wax does not.

I use a Murphy's Oil Squirt and Mop and if I can't find that I use Quick Shine. Both encourage leaves and stuff to blow off the top of the coach as well as getting rid of that white oxidation/caulky residue.

Well there certainly are a number of products I'll just have to try one and see how it works for me, thanks to all that have replied.
