I've been a subscriber for about seven years now and think there is a good mix between the travel and technical articles. However I see more and more of the technical articles are about new products or upgrading. It seems like they are always trying to sell something rather than maintenance or solving problems. I would like to see more articles on short cuts and routine maintenance and I would like to see a better balance per issue between DP and Gasers. As I skip the articles that don't pertain to my type of MH some times I end up skipping a good portion of the Magazine. I generally like the travel articles as they give ideas for future trips but at times I am disappointed in the variety of locations. I think they really need a makeover and come up with a comprehensive list of topics (sort of like these forums) and have articles in each area. It would probably please more people and attract more people to the RV world. However if the reviews on the other operations of the parent company (such as CW and GS) are true then I won't count on MH Magazine getting any better.

Received the mag for two years - not renewing. Not interested in travel articles and numerous ads. Seems I look at it for 20 to 30 minutes when it arrives and then it hits the recycle pile. Rather spend my time on this forum. Learned a lot here...

I dropped MHMag years ago when I joined FMCA & they've got their own magazine.

I really like the reader forum, the technical forum and the reviews of coaches. The reviews of RV's have at times been brutally blunt. I appreciate the honesty. I've used several of the vendors in the pages of the magazine. My last purchase was a TPMS after reading the article in Motorhome magazine.

IMO, the mag is basically advertising fluff. Most of the motorhome reviews are overly complimentary since they are advertisers. They are certainly not going to print anything really negative about an advertiser's coach.

The technical articles are not always correct. They printed an article a couple of years ago about servicing the Onan quiet diesel generator. Much of the information was just wrong and the captions for some of the photos were not matched to the photos. I wrote to them to point out the errors and suggested they might want to do a better job of editing submitted articles for accuracy. They never responded.

It is what it is.

I ordered it through my granddaughter's school magazine drive. Paid more than I should have but she gets a really cool SpongeBob SquarePants 3D t-shirt, it even comes with 3-D glasses.

I like the magazine and like you, I am not much interested in the travel section. Knowing how difficult it is to make a magazine interesting to a wide audience, I think it should remain as is.
