Motorcycle Carrier
Does anyone have any experience with the Cruiser Lift motorcycle carrier. I am looking at the Hydralift also but it does cost more and other than one being hydraulic and one winch/cable is it worth the extra cost.
Thank You
Dan

Prior to owning my Class A Toy Hauler, I had a 12v cable RV Motorcycle Lift on the back of my pusher before the hydraulic models came out. It worked great with no problems, is less expensive and weighs less. On the other hand, the hydraulic rides the bike higher off the ground and tilts up when not in use.

I have a Cruzerlift on our DP and it's been fine. Carries my VTX1300 just fine. Rides high and with a short hitch extension we tow the Toad just fine. As said, it doesn't tilt up like the Hyrdalift but that hasn't been an issue.

What kind of MH do you have. If it is not a DP, they do not recommend a motorcycle lift on the back. One of the Manufacturers that I talked to said the frames and design of the gas MH's causes too much flex with a carrier on the rear and it will cause the fiberglass sides to start separating at the caps.

Good info
We have a 2013 Holiday Rambler Endeavor with a tag axle. I know there is no issue with the coach. We are full timers so I watch the pennies. Don't want to buy a lift I really don't need. Looking at the Mighty Hauler and Cruiser Lift. Thanks again for the info it always help me to hear what others think of equipment they have had expeiance with.

You might want to take a look at an Overbilt motorcycle lift. We have one on our bounder DP for the last 4 years and it has work well.

After a year's investigation, we chose the Hydralift. It's more expensive, Cadillac, but it's the best made, easy to use and worth the money. We are full timers in an Entegra Anthem lifting a Harley Ultra Classic. JMHO.

I have a Blue Ox platform lift, 1000# lift, and allows flat tow of 5000#. I had it mounted on my 93 Foretravel 36' U225. It worked great, and we carried our BMW R1200 GSA, and pulled the Saturn wagon.
We have upgraded the coach, and sold the bike. We are selling the lift and Saturn now.
The large platform lowers to the ground, easy and safe loading. It carried the bike about 25" off the ground. It has a new lift cable, power supply cable, and new LED lights in a much better location than the original design. Seems to have always been stored inside when not in use. It also works to carry scooters or huge BBQ as well.
Located in the Ft. Worth TX area, if anyone is interested.

We have the Cruiser fit on our 07 Vectra DP and we love it. It is very easy to take on and off and no mess.

There are many MC lifts on the market. IMO the Hydralift is the top of the line, and they go down from there. I researched the lifts for at least a year before settling on a Hydralift for my `09 Road King. We've been in most of the states west of the Mississippi River, and on all kinds of roads with no problems. My theory is you get exactly what you pay for.
