Had a contractor build with 6x6 posts and a metal roof on a 55x14 cement pad. We added 2x6 crossbeams across the front and four of the six spaces between posts on the sides to withstand high winds.

Echoing a former post on width, I did measure 12.5 feet with sliders out but a foot and a half is not enough to easily find the correct place to park. Should have gone to 16 feet wide.

Added a 50 amp rv park style post and tapped into the main sprinkler line for water. We're over 110 feet from our house's septic line so did without sewer for now. Very happy with the results.

Living in upper NYS one the Canadian boarder just below Montreal, I wanted something more than a RV cover. I ended up building this from Steel Master

I realize that the actual installation will be done by a local contractor so it is dependent upon your location. I am wondering about all these on line places offering metal structures, or did most of you opt for local produces as well.

Certainly don't mean to highjack the thread, just seems to me more of a follow up/parallel.
I live in Oregon and West Coast Metal buildings did mine. They can do all different types. West Coast Metal Buildings | Home | Carports, Garages, Barns, Customs, and more..

I'd guess centering. When backing in, having that line centered in your back up camera as you're backing in, puts you on the right track to being centered once inside the port.

Put this particular strip on the very outside of your right rear outer dual tire for a reference point while backing in.

Yellow line was for old Motorhome before Carport. Put left rear wheel on it and back in. In the afternoon backing in with sun reflection I was blind in my mirrors. Line is gone now, no problems.
