Motorhome Cover Protection

Hello. I just purchased a new RV cover for our 38' Bounder. The manufacturer suggests covering any sharp corners or edges that may catch the cover and tear it. My question to you experienced RV'ers is: Does anyone have any ideas about what to use on these corners and edges, and any ideas on how to attach these to the RV without using any tape, etc.?? I have heard people using pipe foam wrap (insulation), but still need ways to attach it safely to the RV without damaging the paint or finish. Thanks!!

I have seen some rvs with that foam stuff you would put on a hose on the corners, but that was with their slides out. maybe it might hug onto corners?
