Over the past ten years I prefer my motorhome so much more than a motel or staying in a relative's home that I have taken it so far as to carry tree trimmers to whack back overgrown trees over the driveways!!!

Definetly agree with everyone's position on this subject. It's the way I do it too, figure I am doing the friends/inlaws a favor in the process.

We just returned from a 8 day stay dry camping in the driveway of my in-laws.They live in a rural location without any close neighbors. Both are now in their 80's and will soon be moving to a personal care facility. They both are heavy smokers and I can not stand the smell of their house. The MH sits an waits as our escape pod with a clean smell and a great sleep number bed. The Onan used about one gallon of diesel every 3 hours. We only ran it when we needed it for a total of 53 hours. We would not go without the RV !

My dad is visiting now and staying in his MH. I fully understand that he prefers to. I feel the same way. Our MH also doubles as a guest house when freinds vist and everyone really likes the privicy. Scotty.

I'm with Bob and others. If I fly it is for work. I would rather sit behind the wheel of our MH, watching the scenery go by at 60 mph, and drive for 2 days than fly to the midwest.

In fact we hate to stay in a motel/hotel now, no matter how nice(expensive). Like everyone says, it's our stuff.

It is an RV lifestyle, and some will never understand.

We live out in our old van. Travel all across this land. Drive until the city lights dissolve into a country sky, me and you - hand in hand.
