Motorhome winterize mice problem

I'm sure this has been asked many times on here, but I'm new, so please bear with me. I have a 38' motorhome. I've been thinking of storing it next to the garage outside. What is the best way to keep the mice out of it?? We do have snow, ice and wind in the winter.

I store a couple vehicles for the winter and the main thing I do is ensure that the rodents have plenty to eat before they think about a place to sleep. After eating, they have a long, long sleep.

I have seen recommendations for Cab Fresh, Check their web site.. Origanaly made for farm equipment, I have used it, no mice but I am not sure I would have had them anyway... I smells good also.. I bought it at Ace Hardware.

Remove ALL food, and all nesting material, and any heat. Having done this
for 5 years, I've yet to have a problem

Mice have a very strong sense of smell. Bounce dryer sheets spread throughout the motorhome will keep them out and make your motorhome smell fresh.

This is what we use. Never any mice in the house or shop or MH. Ball bearing mouse trap.

We use fresh cab, avaliable on ebay, farm equip dealers and your local camping store. We also use dryer sheets in the drawers. No problems with mice. We are in the country, so a few stray cats roaming the area helps.

I put a couple blocks of poison in the compartments. I'm not sure if this attracts them in or keeps em out. If they come in I guess it would be their last meal.

OK your post caught my attention immediately. Have you tried this. I live in the country and have problems occasionally with mice. We remodeled our kitchen and I fixed openings around drains where they were getting in and put tile down in the cabinet where the drains are to keep them from chewing their way through there. Occasionally one seems to make it inside. I have not had any problems with the motor home yet but it is a concern. I use Irish spring soap in the shower and I have never heard it would be good for that. You are correct though it smells good

Back when we stored outside, I used a product called Mouse Free. It worked very well but is pricy. Thing is, if there ever was a mouse in our coach, we would have to burn it down. So I'm told. In the end, it was cheap compared to buying a new coach.

First thing is to make sure there is NO FOOD in the RV.

P/S, I have seen mice make their nest out of dryer sheets so don't believe all you read.
