MP-8 or DIGI + Silverleaf, other mgmt sys

This thread is not about are MP-8 or DIGI or Other 'chip like' modifications wise to do. (Many threads on this discussion over the years.!

I have a friend with a ISC CAPS era engined coach, and he has bought MP-8, with the cockpit controller.

He asked me what would happen to his Silverleaf readings, after he plugs the MP-8 unit inline with his ECM. As we understand it, the MP-8 (DIGI too) are invisible to the ECM. (That is more of a ?? then a statement!).

So I told him I felt his HP, Torque readings would probably not be accurate, but that I bet his Turbo Boost would be.

My thinking is that the ECM is behaving as it always does, and reading reporting based upon what it 'thinks' is going on.

So with higher pressure from the MP-8 perhaps yielding 45-75 lbs more Torque and 30-40HP (He plans to set it to 'zero/off' most of the time, then half way up to 7-8 out of the 15 scale of the cockpit control knob. Thus the reason for those ranges (His numbers, not mine.)

So if his Silverleaf is reporting 330 (What it's flash is set to as max HP on his ISC.), he could actually be between 360-370HP.

How about it, anyone have MP-8 or DIGI with say Silverleaf or Aladin? Do you see different numbers then you used to?

Appreciate any real life 'here is what we're seeing' reports!
