We steer clear of CW when possible. The one in Chantilly VA, now closed, installed our Sat Dish so poorly it was blowing off the roof by the time we got home,80 miles. Duct taped plastic over it so water wouldn't get in. Drove back the next day to have it done correctly. DH usually checks everything but hadn't climbed on roof before we left due to weather. CW in Kissimmee insisted we couldn't order double window awning for our 2000 coach. Got them at CW near Lazy Days and had correct install. Unfortunately some only hire seasonal help.

As long as we're talking about CW, let me weigh in: A few years ago CW bought out my local dealer in Lakewood NJ. When I needed an awning replacement I went online, did the measurments and calculated the final costs including the beer for my helpers. Then I stopped in at the CW and was quite surprised. They saved me $180 and installed it for me for $60. The prices they had were cheaper than the catalog and no shipping.

Another time I needed hydraulic hose repairs. I took it there again usiing my extended warranty. 2 weeks go by and the service guy tells me he can't get the parts from HWH. I wrote a scathing letter to CW corporate offices and got a phone call back from them. I told the guy I'm amazed that CW is such a big enterprise but has no clout with the manufacturers it shoudn't be buying up dealerships. Also told him I'd be sending a letter to websites and magazines. 2 days later, hoses replaced, hydraulic ram replaced, all paid for by HWH (so they say) and didn't cost me a dime.

I guess it's how you talk to people.....what I did notice was a lot of disgruntled employees not afraid to discuss their problems in front of customers. Say's a lot.

Except for the fact they're 10 minutes away, I still like to do my own work whenever I can.
