My mileage, think I got this right?

York,sc to myrtle beach. Lots of state highways, lots of small towns, highest speed limit encountered 60 mph. No interstates.

366 miles, 50.1 gallons = 7.3 mpg

BUT,,,, we used the A/c coming and going, and we boondocked at the Wal-Mart, ran the gen and 2 a/c, put 15 hours on the generator. If the gen used a 1/2 gallon an hour ( the a/c ran a lot, it was very hot) and I said the genset used 7 gallons of the 50, the coach actually got 8.5 mpg!

Am I off base?

I think you did even better. I would have rounded up to 8 gallons, giving you 8.7 mpg.
