My one take away from the first family trip.

It is possible for my wife to turn on enough crap to blow the circuit breaker in my 8K Onan. Didn't think that was possible, but she did it twice.

It was in the 80's at South Padre Island over New Years, I had the front end pointed into the sun. Park power was down while they repaired the connection. I had both AC's on. I think what finally killed it was the Convection oven, coffee maker and the toaster.

8K is 8000 watts or 66.67 amps, a 50 amp RV plug in gives you 12,000 watts or 100 amps. So yes it is possible.

Have you shown her how to reset the breaker? That way you don't have to get out of your easy chair.

I don't know that I'd go there. Women have their own way of getting even. They'll hurt you when you least expect it. At least it didn't go in the middle of the night somewhere where it's 25 degrees outside.

Yeah. SHE just might leave the toilet seat up some night................

Probably better to have a little discussion of the "Genny Facts of Life". A multi-thousand dollar repair could dent the RV budget in any family.

Similar story: We were at a CG over XMas that had 30 amp as only option. I told her that meant we could only run one A/C at a time. I get out of bed and head for a quick errand run and upon return, I noted that the interior lights were fading in and out. That led to no 110 power anywhere in short order. I did a quick inventory of what was plugged-in or running and found a hairdryer, washer/dryer (on dry phase), an electric griddle, and BOTH heat pumps.

Her: "You said we couldn't run both A/Cs. It's too cold for A/C right now."
