Mysterious Jack Behavior

Okay, after my last adventure with batteries (you can see my blog for details) I now have a mystery on my hands.

After I got my new batteries I was able to operate the jacks and I put them down front and back and according to the leveling system it was level. I noticed that only the passenger side jack in the back was down, but that was the one that I needed. So first question is: Shouldn't both jacks go down?

Now for the mystery. A few days after I lowered the jacks, the back jack mysteriously retracted....all on it's own.

When I noticed this, I went out and put it back down again. Surprise! Today, the jack is back up again.

Do I have evil jack spirits in my motorhome or is there something I need to do to fix this problem?

Thanks in advance for all of the wonderful answers I know I will get.

Hi Jane. First of all, do you know what brand your levelers are? Are they electric or hydraulic?

It would be helpful if you could update your forum signature to include info about your rig. That way, those familiar with your RV can chime in.

Along with what SarahW says, I'd want to remove, spray with contact cleaner, and reinsert the connectors for the 'brain' of the system.
