Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

I bet that's the water pump switch! Turn off the city water supply, turn on the switch, and see it you have water. That's assuming that you have water in the freshwater tank.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

If it's not the electric water heater, it could be one of the 3 water pump switches. Our Dolphin has one by the washroom room mirror, one on the main panel in the hallway(next to the water heater switches, gas and electric) and one in the basement pumping compartment( this one has no red light). If you are connected to an outside water source, turning the light on and off would appear not to do anything as the pump doesn't run if you are connected to a pressurized water source.

Switch with led, controlling a 120 volt load , as mentioned possible water heater electric control .
A second somewhat less likely possibility is " tank heating pads " kind of like an electric blanket for your holding tanks.
If you don't have another switch in the coach for the electric hot water , that's more than likely that switch in question's function , but , if there is a second switch ( 120 volt with led) in the area of the water heater's gas control switch , then I'd say tank heating pads, part of a cold weather package.

With cold water in the water heater and the coach hooked to shore power , have someone turn on the switch and listen outside the water heater for a few mins. if it's the electric side of the water heater you'll hear the element start to sizzle in the cold water.

I am glad to see this question.
I have the very same switch in my National Tradewinds 275LE.
I 'thought' it was for the electric side of the water heater.
Thanks,

On my 03 Dolphin 5320 there is three switches. The 2 12 volt are for the water pump and light. The switch with the red light is marked water heater. My coach is supposed to have heated tanks, but if they are they are heated by the furnace. My tanks are NOT exposed anyplace so I believe they are heated by the furnace.
