We are probably going to go from a 5th Wheel to a Class A. We found a 2001 Tradewind LTC 7373 deisel with only 21,000 miles on it. 37 ft, 2 slides. It looks very nice and we were wondering if anyone out there has opinions on this rig. Is it good/bad? Any major problems. There does not seem to be too much information on National RV. Thanks

We are on our second National RV, a 2005 Seabreeze. Can't speak for the diesel side of the house, but National makes quality units.

katben; I can't speak directly to the model you mentioned but I can say that National RV makes a good coach. I'm a little bias since I own a Dolphin. I took their factory tour in Perris, CA this June and they build all models on the same assembly line with the Durasteel frame.

I'm at Lazy Days in Seffner, FL now at a National RV rally and there are a lot of happy owners here. I have had some maintenance issues but I think that will happen will all RVs.

I would just recommend doing a "good" inspection and an extensive test drive at both highway and street speeds.

katben, welcome to iRV2.com, glad you have joined us. I'm sure you will enjoy this website and make a lot of friends in the proccess. Although I do not own a National RV unit I can say that I think they build a better than average unit as well. What chassis is your coach built on and what power plant is in it? I too would recommend you have a qualified technician do an inspection for you if you are not very familiar as to how things should work and can verify they do. Also have the drive train inspected as well as try to obtain all the maintanance records to verify they have followed the recommended schedule. Good luck and let us know the outcome. Enjoy!

We have two different friends who own Tradwinds. One is fulltime, the other a snowbird. Both are very satisfied with the RV. One has owned theirs now for 8 years and they just spent several thousand dollars to replace the carpet and furniture because they were not willing to trade to get the nice new interior that they wanted.

I have a 2000 tradewinds 7373.We purchased it Oct 2002 with 81000 miles.It now has 108000 miles and going strong.Other than a couple cracked floor tiles everything is fine.I changed a few things like full extension drawer hardware on the kitchen drawer,a shelf under the computer table and a small separate fan in the bath skylite.
