Sorry Jeff, I meant they'll true up the new ones. At least that's they did with my new ones when they did my front rotors.

They will likely have two guys working on it. I kinda figured 2 guys 5 hours. It was just a guess. Hopefully it's less.

I don't have the bills from the work on my Beaver to refer to. I gave them to the new owner when I sold it.

I will know more when the rear wheels are pulled off, but my guess is the wheel seals/ axle seals. I guess from what I'm learning, they are called axle seals on passenger vehicles, and wheel seals on truck chassis's .

And all of this happened at the same time on both sides? Sure sounds like a strange event took place all at once.

Yeah I know it seems strange, I was underneath doing some preventative maintenance and noticed both seals on the rear axle leaking, which started the whole saga, if I had just not bothered I would be unaware and not out all these dollars ... lol ...

Curious if one was leaking for a while and then the other or if you possibly have a plugged or restricted vent line causing both to fail. I would definitely have the shop inspect the vent line though.

Mike.

I was sitting here trying to figure that out myself.

Wonder if the breather for the differential is stopped up and the altitude is causing pressure to push the fluid past the seals? Something just strange about both going out at the same time.

Actually in that vintage the Beaver Patriot is an air over hydraulic braking system.
