I would look up on the internet for RV driving schools, which I will find when I purchase my MH. In one of the posts here an older gentleman said he had driven just about every different kind of RV and he still picked up tips. so that will be my first trip to RV driving school.

If you think you might need to attend a driving school first, then you probably do.

X2 It amazes me after buying our rig, how many people nowadays don't have a clue how to merge onto the highway. They come off the end of the entrance ramp expecting traffic to part like the Red Sea for them. Maybe they use a signal or maybe not. I have seen a few wide eyed looks as people "suddenly" find me in their "merge space" and have to hit the gas as they look over.

White knuckles
When uncomfortable on secondary roads when you get off of the freeway. If you are not planning to stop in a town you are traveling thru always take the truck route. plus the truck stops are on the route. parking and fuel stations at truck stops have a lot more room

Had a 1999 Rexhall 36ft MH. Took it to Ford Truck and they said the rear sway bar bushings were bad. Had them changed to new and wow, what a difference.

Here are 2 things that will fix your problems :
1. Safe-T-Plus steering stabilizer - removes the need for constant steering input, about $700
2. Sumo Springs - stops the lean in turns, and the push from passing 18 wheelers, about $1300
[might also try the "cheap handling fix," aka CHF for the leans, free!]

I have been boondocking in Northwestern New Mexico for the last 4 days, 12 miles down a sometimes rutted BLM road. My Jeep hardly registers them but my Bounder feels like it has no spring suspension. Will Sumo springs help smooth out the ride?

Sumos will really help with the side to side & up and down rocking, like when you leave a gas station. They'll really help.
Also, you might first search the forum for the CHF (cheap handling fix) and try that. It's just a sway bar adjustment. Sumos on all 4 wheels will run around $1300, the CHF is free.
You might also research shocks. I have Bilsteins on my MH, but have read about how good Konis are. Some people say the Konis made a big improvement in the ride. If I ever see them on sale I just might change to Konis.
I've come to the conclusion that with the Safe-T-Plus and the Sumos the ride & handling of my F53 is about as good as it can get. Those upgrades changed it from acceptable to pretty good. It's a joy to drive & with the 5 Star Tune, the V-10 is pretty tame in hilly country
ALSO, we love New Mexico, don't get there enough. Had a great week up at Chama a few yrs ago.
