ok everyone I contacted a lawyer last thursday, they contacted and talked to the manufacturer of the coach just to find out after going through some loops that the dealer sold me what is called a "second" (coach that has issues from the factory), well the lawyer then contacted the original dealer to get all paper work from the sale and has contacted another branch in the law to file charges against the dealer, the charges are for not selling me a unit that they have promised, and the fact that when they do sell a second they are to include a discloser list and have me sign it and also to sell the unit for a discounted price as par the manufacturers agreement with the dealer. to make a long storie short things have been settled out of court I will be picking a brand new unit up this friday at the dealer, with no change to my loan or finace company and this unit is on its way from the factorie as we speak, I am not sure what the DA is going to press charges on the dealer but i was asked to come to court if needed by the da's offfice. so finally things will be corrected and things will get back to normal and no more worries. after a year they have finally got all the info correct and are helping me it was a rough road but the manufacturer is standing behind me and pressing the dealer about this issue. Well hope i will have no more trouble for a whial thx for all the help, sorry about the spelling was never good at that.

Glad to hear that you finally reached a resolution. Sounds like the manufacturer has stepped up to make things right with you. Apparently your dealer was a bit less than honest. Hope you are taking delivery from a different dealer on the new one.

Wow! That's great! To be honest, I didn't think you had much of a chance of working with those guys after corp backed off. Sounds like maybe they found out the same thing and tried to get out of the middle!

Sometimes the lawyers do actually earn their fees!

Best of luck with your new unit.

Wonderful! I wish all mfgs would do that. We've had endless small problems with our TT from early on. Thank God no leaks in the roof (only the defective faucet and the pipe under the sink we fixed ourselves).

Jim. I had a similar problem with a used Motorhome that had been sold to me with dangerous underside problems. the previous owner noticed the dealer had resold it to me and contacted the state Attorney General who assigned an investigator. When they made contact with me I was shocked. Long story short with pressure from investigator the dealer made it right by refunding money and take the MH back. You might want to keep an eye on the advertisements by dealer and Craig's list to see if they try to sell to another unsuspecting buyer, you can also run a vin check. I realize once it's out of your hands you probably don't want to have anything to do with it , but you may save some unsuspecting soul a bunch of heart ache.

You have a motor home... Do you belong to FMCA, Good Sams, Escapees, Any other RV orgination?

All of these publish a news letter or magazine, MOST all of them have a column with a name like "RV ACTION LINE" or some such.

Tell them your story.

In the old days most major newspapes had "Action Lines" and I can tell you they were VERY effective, these national ones can do even more.

I once had a disagreement with the manager of a store... While he was in the lobby area telling a bunch of young customers to leave cause you had to be 18 to take advantage of the deal they had that day the phone rang and he was paged (His body language said it was for him) I told him to go take the call, It's likely channel 2 wanting to know why you are discriminating against these young folks... It was. Cost me a few dollars (Put me farther back in teh line so I did not get the big free offer, but a smaller one) but .. The kids all got the deal they earned by getting there and waiting in line.

Manager was .. Not happy (I was though).

Just shows you how effective they can be.

Good luck! Still having legal issues after 3 years

We bought what we were told was a new 39'dp.... It turned out it had been rented to a oil company as their promo rv.... Our dealer refused to take it back and do the right thing. River City Rv in Sherwood Ar was then found guilty in court of fraud, deceptive trade, and breach of contract. We were awarded a settlement a year ago, have yet to receive a single cent. They gave at least 4 other lawsuits against them. The state would not do a thing even tho they owe $ to them too.... Have another hearing this week.... We have begun using the rv after the court hearing, but that was after 2 years of it sitting. They had never serviced it and the warranty was no good.... Nightmare? Yes, but too much of an investment for us to walk away and ruin our credit.... Hope your ordeal is not as drawn out, i am still on meds as a result of this... DH is disabled vet and retired military, i am retired teacher, we did not really have the money but felt we were on borrowed time sibce DH has had 2 major heart attacks.... Why isnt there a place to help us?
