It's likely on the transmission and is no longer called a "neutral safety switch."
Try looking for transmission range sensor on the internet. Might point you in the right direction.

I should be on the driver's side of the transmission. The shift cable connects to a lever, that lever's shaft run's through the range selector switch.

I would not be looking on the side of the transmission, thats old school, as in 1980's or '90's. That is an electronic controlled and shifted transmission, your shift lever operates a electronic switching mechanism, sending signals to the computer, and then the computer controls the transmission. I think you will find that the lever on the side of the transmission is only used to set the parking lock and nothing more.

Funny, when I think 'old school', I think about the neutral switch being about halfway down the steering column... which night be another place to look if you can't find it anywhere else...

Try the Ford Motorhome Chassis forum.

This is what Rock Auto shows for the range/safety sensor for 2016 chassis. It's mounted on the side on the transmission.
