Need help with LED Tube replacement

We've been replacing the fluorescent bulbs in our RV fixtures. We've had no problems with the 18" T8 fixtures, bought most of the bulbs from ACE hardware. We wanted to replace the bulbs on the 4 fluorescent fixture in the kitchen. It has 3' bulbs, which were hard to find. Finally found some on Amazon & tried to install them today. These bulbs will absolutely not work in that fixture. We were able to test them & they all work. The guy at the company said they won't work in a 12v fixture. Don't know much about electric, but we can't understand why the other bulbs worked & these won't. Does anyone know where we can buy 3' bulbs for that fixture. Thanks for your help in advance.

We did remove the ballast & those are the bulbs we bought. We spoke to the tech at Hyperikon & he said those bulbs won't work with a 12/24v fixture. Makes no sense to us

The literature says they work on 12v systems.
The tube is NOT polarity sensitive.

After removing the ballast you should have a ground wire on one end, and the switched hot wire on the other end.

Are the end contacts on the fixture in good shape?

Dan

Dan, I'm not sure if you're talking about the M4 products or the Amazon ones. I did just look at the M4 & yes, it says they work with 12V. I will call them tomorrow since I couldn't tell if they have them in stock or not. Everything on the fixture itself is fine, it was working when we removed the fluorescent bulbs. They guy at Hyperikon says those bulbs will not work with 12V. All the rest of the fixtures were such an easy fix, never expected this one to be so much trouble.
Thanks pasdad1 for your ideas.

Yes, M4 tubes would work.

The Hyperikon tubes are 120v only, so they will not work.

Regards,

Dan

You might try 1000bulbs.com They're in Garland, TX, and have been a good source for us. Also, M4 is excellent for you MH needs. Good luck.
