Need new tires
I checked the tire manufacture date today after getting my MH back from a repair shop for other maintenance needs. I've assumed the tires on my Class A wouldn't be older than 2010, since it was a 2010 model. I was surprised to see dates of 2007 on the back duals and 2009 on the front. I went to Tires etc today and they recommended Cooper 245 70R 19.5's (Cooper RM 170) at $199 apiece, $!370 for 6 tires installed. Have any of you had any experience with Cooper tires? Appreciate your input.

I've had cooper tires for cars and they were good. Have not for an RV.

No experience with Cooper. Just put a set of Gladiator tires on my rig for the same price as yours.

Are the Cooper tires steel cord/belts? If not I sure wouldn't use them on an RV.
Made in China?
Website doesn't give any of that info either.

Cooper tires are fine. I know two people who purchased them for their rv. 3 years strong no problems.
I personally purchased Firestone FS560's last July. Just under 1900 out the door installed. I am happy with my purchase so far.

I have the Cooper RM170's on my duals. Put them on last August. Have had no problems. I did put Goodyears on the front, though.

Cooper tires are quality tires. I've owned several sets for our SUV's and trucks but I have not used them on the motorhome.

Have you thought about Michelin's? Yes they can be pricey but are a nice tire and used a lot on RV's. You can get a discount on the if you are an FMCA member. Well worth the cost of a membership if you don't already have one. Just check with the local Michelin shop if they participate in this Michelin/FMCA program.

picking up our rig tomorrow. Took it in for some minor adjustments before our spring trip- checked and we need tires. Same issue- outdated. We chose Coopers, sorry I don't know the size or price for the 8. I do know my husband and the repair guy researched.

Actually it's called the "Advantage" program and it's not just FMCA that uses it.
