Yes, Colorado likes to tax. Both licences and sales on a used MH are going to bite. But at least you are in a county below the 8% sales tax!

I can only say pay the tax and go enjoy our state parks (if you make reservations now, you might even be able to stay over a weekend).

you pay the sales tax on the net purchase price, the yearly ownership tax on the original value depreciated through some black magic formula, bridge fees, ritter fees, registration fees, etc etc...my yearly cost for my rig here in Douglas Co is $685 per yr...cost new they show on the registration is around $142K...don't forget you may need to get it smogged as well before registering-at least thats only $25....

Your big nugget is going to be the sales tax. I live in unincorporated Douglas County so mine was 4%. My sales tax was paid at the dealer and rolled into the loan. It was about $5000. The ownership tax is calculated on 85% of MSRP and then a % of that depending on how old the unit is. A 4 year old unit would be .09% of 85% of MSRP. When I tried to figure mine out before I went to the DMV, I thought it would be around $2500. I came out to be $1512, so I don't know exactly how they calculated it but it came out better then I thought. So, sales tax and registration on $125000 unit was 5000 tax + 1512 registration = $6512.
