I carry a fully mounted spare and the tools, including an electric impact wrench and a tire dolly to change it myself if I have to. As I said, "if I have to" that's why I also belong to a national RV club that offers a road service plan. It's worth every penny to be able to call for road help with an outfit that deals with RV's.
As far as a national RV club, pick the one with the best benefits for the dues. All of the clubs fluff are about the same. Right now FMCA has the best benefits package but that could change next week.

I am curious I have CoachNet as well. Just wondering what they were able to do for you. I have had them for years but never needed them for my RV. I have a 40' coach now with duals on the rear. Just wondering what they are "willing" to do to help.

The OP's rig has a tire and wheel that probably weighs 150 lbs so a spare isn't an option. A call to any truck tire dealer would have had the road service guy there in a couple hours. OTR trucks and buses don't tolerate long delays due to flats be it Sunday or holiday you shouln't ether

Understand. We had engine problems (Cummins diesel)with our Class A motorhome. Called Good Sam’s Roadside Assistance. No help! They wanted us to sleep in our he coach along the busy highway, 75 miles from any decent size town. We felt it unsafe, so drove very slowly but reached out destination. Very nerve racking. Needless to say, we cancelled our plan. Will try to find a better plan.

I hit a shredded tire on I-80 in the middle of nowhere Wyoming a few weeks ago on a Saturday evening. It was one lane construction and I tried to miss It but I didn’t. It destroyed the underneath Exhaust of our diesel sprinter and caused a flat on rear tire. Same thing. There happened to be a small conoco At an exit. We limped there and spent the night until we could get a guy out the next morning to bring a tire and change it. We had a spare but could not change a motorhome tire! He also brought coat hangers and my husband wired up the exhaust pipe till we could get to Laramie. Wonderful RV repair in Laramie. We made it home to Oklahoma, but if you have a Mercedes you have to go to Mercedes to get it fixed right. They have had it for three weeks. Lots worse than we thought. I feel your pain. That tire cost us $400.00 because it was a Sunday. Maybe you’ll get a break on Monday!

IMHO. I think some people are getting too much into the weeds on the issue of a blown single tire on a dual set.
Have had two blown inside tires on our dual rears in 125,000 miles. In both cases we were able to travel to a truck tire shop to replace the tires. We did respect the issue of two new dual tires on the axle.
Traveling at a slow speed to keep the heat down in the remaining tire is key.
Just take it easy and be safe.

Another Coachnet, never had an issue getting service anytime. I saw one complaint on them by a popup with a broken cable, the single one I have ever seen.

You forgot it’s Indigenous People Day Monday? That’s a national holiday! Hope it works out well. Glad no one was injured.

Flat on any day
First of all I want to say thank God I have a MH with a spare tire and a place to carry it under cover with out taking up cargo space. At 64 I can change my own tire. But I saw a few things I would like to comment on. The torque on lug nuts is not measured in psi. It is measured in foot pounds. At 400 ft lbs it could take more than a breaker bar and Hercules to break them. You would be wise to invest in you own torque multiplier. Since most tires come off the lug nut side of the rim it is not likely that you could change an outside dual without removing it from the hub. If you have a spare tire not on a rim, if you have never changed tires for a living, do yourself a favor let a professional do it. Tire pressure is measured in psi. That means for each cubic inch of space in your tire, there is the amount of pressure you put in it. So for example if you had a tire with a 100 cubic inches of space in it (most large tires have more), and you put 90 pounds of pressure in them, that would make 9000 of pressure. A back hoe tire with 25 psi has enough force to knock over a Volkswagen Beetle.

A kid could remove the lug nuts for you using a 6' pipe. A pipe would be easy to carry wired to the RV frame somewhere out of the way. Where there is a will, there is a way to get the job done. The critical part is the will.

In addition to other things I carry, I now have an extra serpentine belt as I had one shred on a Sunday also and while they are not that hard to replace, you have to have one and a Sunday afternoon is not the time to try to find an auto parts store open.
