New 03 Damon Ultrasport 3889 DP

This is going to be our 1st summer with our new MH and I am still learning about my Cat 3126E and still building my manual liberary on coach. I would appreciate any info Pros & Cons on my Damon Ultrasport to prepare us for our upcoming camping season. We had 95 35FT Pace Arrow for 4 years prior to to this one.

Hi BRONCO2009,
Welcome to iRV2. Consider asking this question in the Thor Industries Owners Forum. On the iRV2 main page, scroll down about 1/2 way. There you should see the Owners Forums. I suggest this because nobody knows your coach like somebody who owns one just like yours.

I will offer some input since I have a 2000 Ultrasport. My engine is a Cummins ISB, 260 HP, 5 speed Allison. You no doubt have a Freightliner chassis and I can offer their customer service number, 1 800 385 4357. They are most helpful long after your warranty has expired. My chassis is XCS which might have been discontinued before 2003. If you have airbags then your chassis is XC. There is some info you should have if you have the XCS, nothing negative so don't be concerned. Freightliner will be your best place to start to find chassis manuals. Appliance manuals would come from their manufacturer. You might make sure all preventive maintenance has been done. If you have no records then you might err on the side of caution and do the maintenance if in doubt. I have had excellent reliability from my Ultrasport for 11 years. There is a Camp Freightliner in Gaffney you might want to consider if you are new to a diesel.
