New air filter

Anyone have a good (inexpensive) source for engine air filters (diesel engine)?

Thanks

I've had good success here at filterbarn.com and shipping was quick.

X2 for filterbarn. Don't skimp of quality on a diesel air filter though. filterbarn carries OE and OE approved filters for a good price. Stock up on your oil and fuel filters too and get the free shipping.

Barlow and Fleet, Thanks for the info. The filter I need is a Fleetguard AH1197 which crosses to a Fram CA8130. When I tried to place the order for the Fleetguard it lists the Fram number which implies that they would ship a Fram. I have a huge aversion to Fram filters so I declined to order online. I'll call them tomorrow. They do seem to have good prices.

KIX, After clicking on the "Show Matches" you see the Fleetguard, Fram and Baldwin filters listed with the Fram # first followed by the Fleetguard, Fram or Baldwin number. Their site is configured to show the Fram item as primary but you will order the Fleetguard filter if you select the item which shows the Fleetguard number. I've never had them send me something I did not order.

Thanks again Fleet. I did as you suggest and in the cart both numbers (Fleetguard & Fram) are shown as part ordered. So, that's why I'm not sure what part i would get. I'll call them later today.

Filterbarn seems to have the best prices and if you buy $100 the shipping is free.
I ordered several filters from them today.

K&N all the way. Cost 47.00 for my Winnie, but it's non-disposable and has a 1,000,000 mile warranty. You cant beat it. You get improved power and fuel mileage. Especially in a roadtrip setting, engines need 2 things, as much (clean) air in as possible and as much blown out the back as possible. First thing to change on all my vehicles is intake and exhaust, the 2 easiest and cheapest ways to improve performance.

Jmerenda, I thinking you have a gas engine.

Wish I could get filters for my diesel for $47.00

$149. for a "Can" 6" in 5" out, at Autozone. Original filter went 60,000 miles . (Over spray and undercoat on the filter.) May last as long as I'm able to drive the unit.
