If defect from factory then prior or next serial number may be same.
Would be intersting to see if those could be checked.

The chassis was made by Ford, not RV industry. Winnebago probably didn't touch the wheels except maybe to put on wheel covers.
While I hadn't heard of this being an issue with Ford F 53 chassis, here's a link to an iRV2 member who had a very similar story:

No, I'm saying that
A. If there's a problem like this then it's FORD to blame not the RV mfg.
B. If there's a problem like this then it should extend to other trucks and vehicles using similar parts or assembly line. If that's the case a person could go to a FORD dealer and find out how widespread the problem is.

New Class A Gas Motorhomes (Caution)
Let me see if I have this right.
1, A man posts a Video showing a problem that he has had with his Rv.
2, He is attacked by self appointed Inspector Clouseaus for pointing out a potential problem that other folks might not be aware of.
I thought this was a welcoming forum with friendly folks, not a bunch of cranky old geezers !

when I talked to one of the head honchos for ford he was real candid.. but did say that a malfunction of he assemble line robot (S).. some no grease... most over torqued.. some no cotter pin,,,,some people will not know till the nut falls off...
because of liability... ford is not gonna say much... he wasn't that surprised when I called him about another one...anyway... I think they are gonna fix it tomorrow...

That's good to hear. I wonder if the supplier (Ford) just got a junk set of bearings? Bad heat treating substandard material something like that. I know it's warrenty but what if you went and picked up some Timkin bearins and took care of it yourself?

ford says it was an assembly problem, way over torqued... not enough grease,
so far they all seem to be going complete out around 2500 miles..
west coast units have about 1800/2000 miles when you buy them new,
so closer to the factory the more you can drive before the failure...
I wonder if ford would tell the vin span so it would be easy to check
