avalanche, USA, LLC's aren't legal in Canada, nor is it legal for a Canadian to drive a US plated vehicle in Canada. You can't even drive a US rental vehicle across the border. Death & Taxes let's not get started. Fuel here running $1.29 reg. $1.30 Diesel. a litre. Multiply by 3.78 to get price in US gallons, or 4.54 for the Imperial gallon. Can't wait to get south again, cheep fuel , and booze.

The IRS itself says they're a Company and not a Corporation in their instructions.

My license plates cost me the same for my 2003 Pace Arrow as my 2005 Trailblazer, about $80/year, and my insurance with full replacement coverage cost $816/ year. Mind you, I'm paying about $4.33 a gallon for regular fuel, and up to $4.75 a gallon for premium, a huge chunk of which are taxes, so maybe they just sneak it from me slowly hoping I won't notice, or just get apathetic enough to not complain about it anymore. Hmmm, your tax system is so much different than ours - I'm just curious.

Do you pay GST when you purchase the RV? Also the 5% sales tax you pay is what people here are trying to avoid with the LLC. Thank God we don't have a Federal sales tax like a GST... yet.

In my province I paid only the G. S. T. on the purchase price of my new RV. We have no sales tax here yet.
I would bet that on some one's desk there is a paper on Federal sales taxes waiting for the opportunity to be presented.
