Question New Fleetwood Bounder Owner

I'm a new RV owner and also new to this Forum, just purchase a Fleetwood 35k and as I'm still park at the Delivery Lot waiting on some small missing parts (cosmetics) after experiencing a hard rain I discovered water inside a light fixture near the living room ac. Has anyone dealt with this type of issue before and is this something I should be concern with. Would like to know before the tech down plays it on Monday morning.

I had the same issue. I traced it to the Fantastic Vent adjacent to the light fixture.

New Fleetwood Bounder Owner

Welcome to the forum. This is definitely something to be concerned with and somewhat difficult to trace. I would insist they find and fix it.

Thank you both, after spending the day at Lazydays inside our RV with the ac on we had no water leaking until it was time to go and I turned the ac off. At that time water again leaked out of the same light fixture next to the ac unit. Something else for their tech to look into.

Just make sure it's fixed prior to leaving, don't be in a hurry, or it may never get fixed. Leaks almost always lead to additional issues.

I know it was when you turned the AC *off*, but wonder if it is somehow related to condensate drain? (probably just a normal leak but you never know)

Most of the rooftop ac units I've seen rest on foam pads that are quite flexible. The bottom of those same ac units have the self taping screws that stick out the bottom of the ac. Normally the screws hanging down aren't a problem. When the ac is installed if it's not lowered flat or tree hits the ac it could poke a hole in the roof.

Len791, Hope and pray you have a better experience than I did at Lazydays. Almost 5 months to do a 31+ item punch list. In the end they did not even finish it. They apologized and offered me $200 for my inconvenience. Then asked if they could have the coach again to finish the job. Right. 5 months you had it now you are magically going to finish it timely. I laughed at them and said I'd rather let everyone know about how I was treated here.
I am headed to IN in 2 weeks to have Fleetwood finish what Lazy days couldn't get done in 5 months.
