My wife and I did our 37' coach ourselves. We stopped just short of the cockpit and the bedroom. The total cost for us was a little over $750.

Here are some pictures of the project.

Ditto. Except I used it "nose to tail" and just left carpeting on the slides and the bedroom "platform" over the engine. We used Allure and the cost was about $700.

A quote of $700 is about $20/sq ft which does seem high to me. On the other hand you mentioned that tile would have to be removed? If so there's probably a good bit of sub floor prep required so it might be a little labor intensive.

Best of luck.

OP says the quote was for $7,000 not $700. The $700 figure was for someone else and they did it themselves.

You might find this very recent discussion interesting:

Installing Wood Laminate Flooring

It addresses the installation of new flooring and the various approaches people took. Lots of photos, too. :-)

Thanks. I really did understand that but fat fingered it when I typed.
That's where I got the $20/sq ft X ~350 sq ft=$7000. Probably not bad when compared to the $100/tile I've heard that Winnie charges at the factory for adding new tile.
