New from NY

I am a new RVer and have it narrowed down to 2 units. The Thor ACE 29.2 and the Forest FR3 28DS. Does anyone have the any feedback on these models or warnings?

Both are 2016 models

If you're sure you want a below 30 footer, then buy a 2 or 3 year old unit that someone else traded up for a longer unit. You'll save a ton of money & the kinks should have been worked out. Just be sure to thoroughly inspect everything.

I've heard much better things about forest river customer service over Thor customer service. Use the search bar and research each, there's a ton of info, good and bad here

We had a Thor AE 29.2 for three years and loved it. As noted, we traded up to a diesel pusher. We did get the extended warranty and got our moneys worth using it, but due to systems failures (not Thor's fault). I loved the length and the comfort of the 29.2. For any Ford V10, also look at the 5-Star tune and the CHF once you get it.

Welcome to the forum and enjoy your search!

My vote would be the FR3 over a Thor product. Looking around at different dealers used lots it seems to me there are a lot of late model Thor's out there.
